Totino’s Pizza Rolls – skip the lean and the mega

I have long been a fan of Totino’s Pizza Rolls, but the new lean pizza rolls are just not as good.  The dough is chewier when they’re microwaved.  And why is it that these companies feel the need to put more spice into a food, the leaner it gets?  Really, the amount of spice in regular pizza rolls is perfect – the lean ones are almost too spicy!  And not spicy in a good way – the burns-your-mouth-but-doesn’t-add-flavor kind of spice that plagues most frozen pizza sauces.

The new mega rolls aren’t anything special either.  They’re twice as long but maybe barely wider… I prefer the bite-sized regular rolls, myself.

Sometimes, you just can’t improve on the original.
