PS1/PS2 game saves on PS3: Good and bad news

According to Gamespot, via Sony themselves, your old PS1/PS2 game saves will work on the PS3, with a catch.  You’ll have to have a memory card adaptor to copy the saves onto a virtual memory card on the PS3’s hard drive.  The article says it’s unclear if Sony themselves will release an adaptor, but it would be a nice gesture, especially considering the PS3 price, to simply include one with the PS3. I know, I know, not likely.
